STARLIGHT Echoes of the Jedi Academy (episode 7) PART 2

The Vigilance Beacon accepted the mission to travel
and investigate activities on the planet Dantooine, where
strange anomaly became active and lured many curious
eyes, to discover it and take it for themselves.

Pirates, Sith Empire, Republic and now Revanites as well gathered
here and fight each other for the secrets and loot of the Jedi Enclave Ruins.
Ceviran's crew went through lot of trouble, and Vigilance Beacon is now
crashed near the Jedi Academy, unable to take off.

The mission took longer than expected, and now the Council
decided to send one of the Jedi Masters, to rescue the crew
of Vigilance Beacon. They decided to send Master Zemalia, and
for her this will be also test that she found her way back to light ...

Update to Knight Difficulty:

Knight: Enemies scale DC according to the crew character sheet but do not go over 25DC even if used with a roll. PCs cannot die unless their players chose so. They enter downed state from which they can recover only via life support or they finished their role to the end of mission/episode. They can recover back on ship via life support or if the medic is down additional staff needs to be paid for service. Reward is normal.

Zemalia left the meeting with the council and now has her mission. The Council granted her a shuttle that she can use as well as one trooper to company her on her mission. The trooper can wait her at the shuttle, but she may reject his help if she wants to go alone.

Jag awaits for Jedi Master Zemalia at the entrance of the shuttle, with shuttle's door opened. He stands tall, looking front, with his gun on back, and helmet under his arm. He looks patient and dedicated to his static pose.

Jag formally salutes Zemalia: "Pleasure to meet you Jedi Master Zemalia. My name is Jag-Dur. Yes, I have been informed about the mission and was sent to escort you and provide aid." The zabrak's voice is deep, and formal. He still keeps his sight front, without actually looking at Zemalia as he speaks.

"I am ready." Vanguard nods and he would wait for Jedi Master to enter the shuttle first, so he can enter after her and close the shuttle's door. Before he'd go to pilot seat, he would make sure that Zemaila has taken her seat, if she wouldn't put down the safe-holder, he would approach to her, and if she'd approve, lower the safe-holder for her, so she does not fall of the seat during the flight. Jag is not good pilot at all, and he always checks his passengers to be safe before he takes off. Zemalia could of course rise the safe-holder at any time by pressing a button, if she wants to get up from the seat. Once they are both ready to take off, Jag sits in pilot seat, and uses the safe-holder himself, and then starts engine. He slowly flies out of the Jedi Temple, and once into the orbit, he sets course for Dantooine, and jumps to light speed.

Zemalia and Jag are on they way. But in the mean time, on Dantooine, Fyria started fight with The Master Tari, and the padawan Barracudas still did not decide which side to take, nor did Blood'Gunner. Ceviran is almost here to witness the event.

Fyria overpowers Tari in lightsaber attack, and harms her with her staff-saber. Tari steps back from too strong attack and while she was about to check her wounds, she did not even see when the beast rushed in and garbed her for arm with its mouth. Tari is trying to set her arm free by trying to pull it out. At the same time with her free hand she uses the Force on the beast.

The beast gently let's go of Tari's armored hand, giving her a friendly look. Kath Hound then growls as it turns against Fyria, considering her as enemy now. It takes a pose preparing to jump on Fyria to kill her, and she was her friend once.

Being in heavy conflict with herself, she didn't know what to do. When all of a suddun Fyria attacked, and destroyed her chance on solving the conflict peacefully.

Repeating her mantra while Fyria and Tari where fighting it out. After the third time she opened her eyes and made her decision.
"I tried diplomacy and it failed," She says, not caring if anyone is listening. Looking to the battle again, she sees Tari getting bitten by Fyria's beast. "When diplomacy fails, it is time for action." Looking to Fyria and noticing the beast sudden change in mood. "And we Jedi should stick together." Entering the battle to honor her teachings that saved her when she was young. Overcoming her dispute with Fyria to assist her. "I will support you Fyria. I will follow your orders." She moves in to attack the beast that has now turned sides. (kath hound)

Seeing stupid attempt of Fyria to hide behind air, but a perfect skill of padawan Barracuda's lightsaber display, The Master decides to attack the padawan instead.

Getting targeted herself now, she tries to deflect the incoming blows as best as she can.

Padawan somehow blocks few attacks and steps back. Suddenly she feels great pain, at first unable to realize where the pain is coming from. After few moments she realizes that she has wounds on her lekku! She was not able to block all attacks of The Master after all.

Feeling the blood of the head wound dripping down her back, she realises that they have to end the fight quickly before she gets fatigued of blood loss. "You may have made a hit, but we won't fail!" She shouts to Tari, closing in again to continue their duel.

Focusing on the force, she again boosts her speed like she did earlier. Closing in again, she furiously starts to attack Master Tari from all angles trying to find a weak spot in her defense. Locking sabers with her after her first few attempts attempts failed, she used the force to jump over her and try to quickly strike her again. Her sudden displacement surprised her oppenent only half a second and she was already turning to block the strikes of the Padawan there, going into another saber lock again. Jumping away again, she decided to try something she new. Closing in hopefully for the final time she took a deliberate pose to look like she was going to do a heavy strike to the right. Having calculated the exact time, she suddenly deactivated both her lightsabers and bend her knees to lower herself enough to avoid the counter and while her opponent made that critical mistake, she stood up again and while she stood the the right side of Tari with her own back turned to her, stabbed both of her lightsabers backwards. Hearing a gasp, and the sound of 2 cilinders hitting the ground, she knew she struck her target, that seconds before had injured Barracudas herself. Looking behind her she saw that both of her sabers had gone through her chest area. Probably doing massive damage... Critically injuring her.

Force lighting focuses around Tari as she is being struck by the padawan. It starts coming out from her eyes and mouth, and then through her skin. Force energy centers around her, and then it explodes, tossing the padawan into air from the pressure (cinematic, not doing any damage, player can decide how to land Barracudas on feet or to fall). Bright light covers the entire hall, blinding everyone for a moment, and when their sight return, they saw nothing but a mask left of Tari. The mask floats a bit in the air because of the Force Concetration in the hall, before it falls down on the ground and makes a sound. But the body of Tari, or her lightsabers are nowhere to be found, she just vanished into nothing. Is she really dead now? Ceviran now finally arrived and regrouped with Fyria (boss defeated in first phase) and was able to witness padawan Barracudas in her last move against Tari.
